The Corpus for fine-grained analysis and automatic detection of irony on Twitter was carefully annotated by trained annotators (Master’s students in Linguistics) using a detailed annotation scheme for irony categorization, which describes four labels: ‘ironic by means of a polarity contrast’, ‘situational irony’, ‘other verbal irony’ and ‘not ironic’. The full guidelines are also provided. All annotations were done using the Brat online annotation tool (https://brat.nlplab.org/index.html) and were revised by the responsible researcher of this project.
The dataset consists of 4791 instances with an irony label and a tweet ID. The dataset is provided as an MS Excel file and a CSV (UTF-8) file.

Le Corpus pour la détection affinée et la détection automatique de l’ironie sur Twitter a été annoté par des annotateurs qualifiés (des étudiants en master de linguistique) en utilisant un schéma d’annotation pour la catégorisation de l’ironie en utilisant 4 étiquettes : « Ironie par voie de contraste de polarité », « ironie situationelle », « autre ironie verbale » et « non ironique ». Le guide d’annotation est également fourni. Toutes les annotations ont été réalisées avec l’outil en ligne Brat (https://brat.nlplab.org/index.html) et révisées par le chercheur en charge du projet.
Le corpus contient 4791 instances avec une étiquette marquant le type d’ironie et un identifiant de tweet. Le corpus est fourni sous la forme de fichiers Excel et CSV (UTF-8).
